Dear Sir/Madam, We invite you to read our next Report of Sustainable Development for Rigips-Stawiany Factory.
In this report, we summarized our activities in 2019. As in the previous years, we focused on these aspects of our business that are a direct result of the Rigips-Stawiany Factory’s Sustainable Development Policy.
This report covers four basic areas: safety, environmental protection, employee development and engagement in the local community life. It is the result of our entire team’s work, whom I would like to thank for their commitment and contribution to the preparation of the materials presented in the report.
Health and safety is our top priority. Due to the constant improvement of our safety standards, the number of dangerous incidents on our premises is gradually decreasing.
In 2019, we were ranked first in the ‘Employer: provider of safe working conditions’ competition. We are very proud of this award and we will certainly endeavour to keep that trophy in the following years.
We strive to continuously reduce the impact on our environment. We have reduced energy consumption and thus greenhouse gases emission due to the modernisation. We effectively segregate our waste and rationally use natural resources: gypsum by its recycling during our production processes and water by its sustainable management. Our products are ecological and safe for health.
Our most valuable resource are our employees. This is proven by the fact that the Saint-Gobain Group, of which the Rigips-Statuated Factory is a part, has been awarded the prestigious Top Employer Polska 2019 and Top Employer Europe 2019 certifications for the 6th time.
We constantly stay in touch with local authorities. Our goal is to support the local community. Therefore in 2019, as in the previous years, we participated in various charity projects. Development is a key issue for any company, but only thoughtful, responsible and sustainable development can bring a lasting success.
